April 2009

Dear friends and partners,

I am so thankful to live in these last days as we see such a hunger for the things of God in the people we work with. Prisoners from around the globe are writing and asking for my Bear and Dove book. More than we can keep track of are taking the "Bear Challenge", which is just another way to say they are committing to live for Jesus all the days of their lives. Local parolees that are coming to our weekly meetings are making changes in their lives as well. It's so exciting being a part of the end time harvest!

The Monday night “Celebrate People” support group meetings for parolees and families of prisoners here at the ministry building in Bristow has been growing each week with several new salvations.

Update on Micah:

The movie that Micah is the lead star in, Sybil Ludington, will be filming from May 1st - May 20th. The planned release date wil be in the fall of '09. Thanks so much for your prayers -- this is not just a movie, it's a move of God!

Kid's Cowboy Day Camp is still going strong!

Since the Lord has directed us to open our ranch as Crossroads Ranch “Barn and Breakfast” we’ve hosted several, week long “cowboy day camps. Our next cowboy camp is coming up in June. Many of the children that I have taken in so far as campers have at least one parent in prison.

I can take up to 12 kidsthat’s how many riding horses we have- and I teach them how to ride, learn all the basics about horses, cook on an open fire, drive a draft horse and do all kinds of old west cowboy stuff. It’s really an anointed time as I host them for five days at the ranch and we are constantly teaching the Word of God around the horse theme. The last day of camp the kids have their own horse show to let their families see all that they have learned at camp. Then I award each child a trophy for completing the camp and I give out other individual awards as well. It’s a really special time.

Our website is now up and running for the camp at: http://crossroadsbarnandbreakfast.com visit soon!!

Bear and Dove Book Update
I am still out of “A Bear and A Dove” books here at Loving Hearts and we must have over 500 requests piled up, waiting for books. Bear’s story of faith and adventure has touched the lives of prisoners.  I know God will meet every need and we stand firm in believing that He will answer the desires of all the inmates and Chaplains wanting a book. There are so many salvations from prisoners reading my book and giving their hearts to the Lord; it’s been the most fruitful tool Loving Hearts has ever had available. Thank you for praying about how you can help get more books printed and home, then back out in the mail to the inmates that are requesting them.
