Loving Hearts
Ministry, is dedicated to helping incarcerated
men, women, and their families, ex-offenders, and those
battling with addictions and survival obstacles, to
attain victory over their past …through the love
of God through Jesus Christ.
“Loving Hearts visits and preaches in prisons
around the United States at least once a month; we touch
500 to 1,000 prisoners monthly through letters, books,
and services. Postage is our biggest cost each month!”
says LHM co-founder Dove Morgan. “LHM reaches
nearly every state in the union, and eight different
countries, including Canada, Egypt, England, Mexico,
and the Philippines.”
“At our main office (in Bristow, OK), the services
we offer include a weekly, loving support group for
ex-offenders, and those that have loved ones still incarcerated
— we feed them, offer them a visit to our clothing
bank and food bank…[assist them] in finding local
employment, housing, and ex-offender friendly churches
to plug into; we teach them the Word of God at every
meeting. At Christmas we give all the families a big
turkey dinner to take home!”
Additionally, Loving Hearts sponsors a weekly Christian
12-Step Program called “Choose Life” for
those challenged with addictions, depression, or who
“just need a listening ear.” Other LHM outreaches
touch prisoners throughout the world, through a network
of support. “We help them find jobs, housing,
placement for parole plans; we write parole board letters
for those that have been in contact
with LHM for a year or more…[and assist in] writing
or calling their family members for encouragement.”
Loving Hearts has published one of its most important
evangelizing tools— the new book, A Bear and
A Dove: A Journey of Faith, a true story detailing
the life of Richard “Bear” Morgan, Dove’s
now-deceased first husband.

Bear spent twenty-two years behind bars, but was
radically transformed after giving his life to Jesus
while incarcerated. After his release, he and Dove
started Loving Hearts Ministry with the mission
of “bringing victory to prisoners and their
families.”
Their journey tells a powerful story of restoration,
provision, and faith, and through its publication
has enabled prisoners who read it to be freed of bonds
of hatred, racism, violence, and abuse through their
own relationship with Christ.“My greatest joy
in the ministry is seeing the thousands of lives transformed
— and the salvations as men and women that are
incarcerated read A Bear and A Dove and take
the Bear Challenge: that they will never do another
drug or drink, and they will serve God with all of
their hearts for the rest of their lives.”
We appreciate all those who financially help us to
get the books and magazines into the hands of prisoners
all over the world, and to answer the mail of inmates
that come in by the piles…helping us with postage,
printing.
“One of the things I’m proudest of is
bringing the races of people together in a very racist
community here in Oklahoma…we have a great
mix at our meetings! I believe God has called us to
reach the community (our Jerusalem), then Judea, Samaria,
and the uttermost parts of the earth. God loves the
prisoner…Psalm 102:20!”
Thanks to the partners and friends of Loving Hearts
